My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 week. The hotel itself is very pleasant with a modern decor; our room had everything we needed, air conditioning, fresh towels, complimentary items etc. The location is perfect to pop in and out of Barcelona central for a busy day out and still want to stay in an authentic Spanish area. We did have breakfast included, however we only visited once as it was a continental breakfast which was not to our taste unfortunately. This included the usual cheese, various slices of meat, bread for toast, pastries, yogurts, juice and coffee. We found an alternate refuge for breakfast which was Café Forno, located at the bottom of the road by the train station, on the right corner (blue shop). The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent and reasonably priced for people on a budget! It is also important to note that the train station Vilassar de Mar will take you 40 mins to travel into P.L Catalunya (Barcelona central), which we didn’t know at the time. The hotel is located in a moderately built up area with local shop Condis life, Capri pizza, kebab shop, sweet and ice cream shop; we lived with what was there. Also important to note, is that hardly anything is open on a Sunday which includes most shops and travelling anywhere via trains and taxis is near impossible, so make sure you’ve got reliable taxi numbers and check the train timetable. The hotel’s spa is a mystery to us as we never saw it, however the hotel has a smaller twin hotel two roads down with a medium sized pool which was beautiful and clean. We just had to ask the hotel for the key and walk down; we had it to ourselves on the days we popped over as the other guests usually disappeared after 1 o’clock. The staff were okay in the hotel, some friendlier than others, however we did have ants in the bed for 3 nights and when we told the reception they tried to tackle the issue but the ants stayed until we left so we have no idea if this we an outstanding problem. We also had a very large cockroach screwed fixed into the light and although we were 99% sure he was dead, we didn’t enjoy his company much. Overall, it was a pleasant stay; somewhere comfortable to sleep after busy days out. Please be aware that you are going to get charged tax for staying in Barcelona at the end of your stay, it’s 90 cents per person per day but we were not aware of this until rudely presented with the bill, so we recommend to budget for that too.

“Modern hotel”

Nice modern hotel good located. The rooms are clean and spacious. The decoration is modern but basic. The bathroom has all you need. Good shower. The buffet breakfast has a very good choise, with good quality products

“Apartment stay”

We stayed in one of the apartments run by the hotel. These are very conveniently located but are somewhat basic especially for a winter stay. The tiled floors are very cold and there are no rugs. We stayed in one of the apartments run by the hotel. These are very conveniently located but are somewhat basic especially for a winter stay. The tiled floors are very cold and there are no rugs. The kitchen is poorly equipped if you plan to do self catering beyond breakfast. A kettle would have been welcomed as would a hair dryer although the hotel did loan us one. We will use these apartments again purely because of the convenient location and the lack of much in the way of alternatives in Vilassar itself.

Curtains only just covered the windows. any noise from the hallways is heard clearly in the rooms. The spa is very small basic and is at extra cost - not worth it! wifi was very slow. no atmosphere.
