“Amazing Place”

Huge spacious apartments, warm & helpful staff, great amenities, very clean- a perfect place for a fantastic experience. With Tesco just a minute's walk from it, one can really use the kitchen & make the most of it. Would recommend it without a hesitation to anyone.

We stated 2 nights in an apartment here. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff and shown to our apartment. As I am very tall, the double bed in the first apartment we saw was unsuitable, since it had a bed end and I wouldn't be able to fit. Fortunately, another apartment with different style of bed was available, so we opted for that. I'm not sure what I would have done if an alternative wasn't available. The decor of the apartments is rather strange, with plenty of black and silver furniture and fittings but everything is very comfortable and spacious. We were delighted to find that breakfast supplies, consisting of breakfast cereals, bread, jams, butter, milk and orange juice, as well as tea and coffee making essentials were supplied and topped up daily. The apartments are located in a quiet part of town, reasonably near the docks. There is also a major football ground nearby which did cause some problems driving there. Overall, however, our stay was very pleasant. There is plenty of reserved off-street parking for guests.

First, the positives: - apartment was clean, spacious, and reasonably well equipped. - courteous and helpful staff. - plenty of free parking. - value for money compare to other options in Edinburgh. However: - the apartment was worn and tired. Plug sockets and towel rails were hanging off the walls. The enamel is flaking off the bath. A considerable investment in repairs and maintenance is overdue. - the shower was a relic from the 90s with the most pathetic water pressure I’ve come across in a long time. - the decor was nice but not “luxury” by any stretch. - the walls are paper thin, and we were kept up by noise from the apartment above (furniture being scraped on their floor/our ceiling, their floorboards squeaking from people walking around). - the floorboards in the apartment are also so creaky that it is difficult to move around your own apartment quietly without disturbing others. - we were woken by a drunk person shouting and slamming doors in the communal hallway one night (admittedly not the company’s fault). - not a great location. If your priority isn’t a quiet night’s sleep then this will probably be fine for you, but if it is, you might want to look elsewhere.
