“Perfect family hotel”

This wonderful family run hotel met our needs perfectly. It is ideally suited for families with small children. We were a group of adults and grandchild and we all loved it! Having had to cancel twice due to Covid it was such a relief to get there after 2 years waiting. It is situated on the promenade across from an immaculate private beach with a beautiful swimming pool and a massive playground. The rooms were very good size with good quality air conditioning. The hotel is offered on a full board basis which isn’t what we would normally do, however it worked absolutely perfectly for us as there was plenty of choice and the food was perfect for little ones, but also had some really sophisticated choices for the adults. The fish and seafood choices were especially good. There is also a large buffet of starters, sides and salads - wine and soft drinks included. It took all the pressure out of choosing somewhere in the evenings which might not have suited a child or the adults. The staff were all kind especially Carmen and Monica in the restaurant who could not have been more helpful. Francisco the owner was incredibly helpful and speaks very good English- ashamed to say we don’t speak very much Italian but we improved a little while we were there! The whole place was spotlessly clean which was reassuring. The hotel is easily accessed from catollica train station if you aren’t driving. We booked the hotel and flights separately which made it very good value and this was a far and away more superior choice than a normal package holiday deal. The sea is shallow and clear and well looked after with lifeguards so was very safe. The hotel is quiet in the evenings- most people tended to go for a stroll after dinner - but as we had a little one with us we were happy to sit in the comfortable bar with a limoncello after dinner. There is plenty to do in the area if you can bear to tear yourself away from the beach and a mini train will take you to Gradara castle or gabicce monte from right outside the hotel. This is a beautiful part of Italy. We were really pleased we found it and would highly recommend to other families looking for a very good quality hotel with excellent facilities in a wonderful location.
