As a lover of history, I thought this would be a really cool hotel to stay at and it wasn’t too far from a wedding we were attending. We would love to come back here and have more time, especially so that we could do the prison tour which we didn’t have time for on this stay. Check-in was smooth and friendly and we were very happy with our one bedroom, spacious apartment in the new section. Hubby is 6’5” so doesn’t fit well into a queen bed, which is what the Interlude historic section of the hotel has. This is a nice quiet hotel and our room had a view over the prison courtyard. We were initially assigned a room on the other side, which really didn’t have a decent view. Fortunately, they were able to switch us to the prison yard side. The apartment was very comfortable, quite new and had everything we needed. There is a small IGA store nearby for food and drink supplies. A very big highlight was having a night out at the Olivine wine bar in the old historic section of the hotel. We just dropped in for one cocktail and ended up staying four hours, spending a small fortune and enjoy enjoying multiple cocktails and wine and delicious small plates. It was just so cool doing this in a refurbished old prison cell. A tip – rug up well if you’re there in autumn or winter as those cell walls are very, very cold. The service at the wine bar was lovely, although a little bit chaotic at times. So we had a most enjoyable stay and we look forward to having an opportunity to come back and stay some more.

I recently stayed at the Adina Pentridge while attending a work conference, and it was a genuinely memorable experience. The hotel has done an excellent job of preserving the history and character of the former prison while creating a comfortable, modern place to stay. From the moment you arrive, the original facade and barred entrance doors remind you of the building's fascinating past. Throughout the property, many of the historic features have been thoughtfully retained, giving the hotel a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from your typical accommodation. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and happy to help with any questions, making check-in and the overall stay seamless. The food throughout the conference was also of a high standard, with a great selection and quality that exceeded expectations. If you're looking for somewhere with a bit of history and character, without sacrificing comfort, Adina Pentridge is well worth considering. It strikes a great balance between honoring its heritage and providing all the conveniences of a modern hotel. It's certainly a stay I'll remember.

“Great Accommodation”

We always thoroughly enjoy our stay at Adina Pentridge, Melbourne. Location is great, close to public transport, supermarket, Palace Cinema etc. The quality of the room and cleanliness is top notch and staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend.

“Extremely Wheelchair friendly”

The wheelchair accessible room was lovely and all of the staff that we met went above and beyond. The location is beautiful and most everything you need is in walking distance.
