We had a wonderful two-night stay at Tru by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, and I can honestly say this was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment we walked through the doors, I was impressed. The lobby, hallways, elevators, rooms, pool area, bathrooms, and even the grounds outside were incredibly clean and well maintained. We arrived fairly late our first night and were tired from traveling, but William at the front desk greeted us with such kindness and professionalism. He was courteous, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. His customer service made a wonderful first impression after a long day of traveling. Our room was spotless. Everything looked and felt exceptionally clean, so a huge compliment to the housekeeping team! I also loved the TV setup in the room and all the little amenities. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion provided smelled fantastic. While spending time at the pool, we had the pleasure of meeting Bertha M. from housekeeping. We asked her a few questions and for some guidance, and she was incredibly helpful, polite, and kind. We saw her several times during our stay, and she was always working hard and taking care of something. She clearly takes pride in her work, and it shows. The pool area was another highlight for me. I had a great time in the pool, and once again, everything was extremely clean and well kept, including the nearby bathroom. My only small wish would be for the pool to stay open a little later than 10 PM. We arrived late our first night and didn’t get back until around 10:30 the following evening, so I would have loved a little extra pool time. 😊 They also have a great fitness center that’s open 24 hours, which is a wonderful convenience for guests who want to work out on their own schedule. And I can’t forget the coffee! ☕ I am a serious coffee junkie and VERY picky about my coffee, and theirs was delicious! Breakfast was satisfying as well, and the breakfast area was clean, organized, and very well maintained. At checkout, we were helped by a lovely young lady whose name I unfortunately didn’t get. She was just as courteous and professional as everyone else we encountered. William, Bertha M., and the young lady at checkout were all top-notch. Another big plus: they’re pet-friendly! 🐾 That is very important to me because I can’t imagine traveling without my fur baby. I even took a walk around the outside of the hotel and noticed how clean and well maintained the property was. The attention to cleanliness wasn’t limited to one area — it was noticeable everywhere. The location was excellent as well! There was so much to do nearby, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and a mall that we visited during our stay. It was really convenient having so many options just a short distance from the hotel, which made the location another big plus for us. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and wished we could have extended our trip. The cleanliness, amenities, and especially the wonderful staff made this hotel stand out. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the Grand Rapids area, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tru by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport to family and friends. Five very well-deserved stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
