“Lovely food, lovely place”

We had a lovely meal here, sat outside overlooking the river, drinks are pricey over £10 for a pint and a half, we had the burger and the Sunday roast (beef) both were really nice.

We stayed here with friends. The weather was very hot. Our room was spacious and well appointed we needed a fan to keep cool. The restaurant and bar are popular with locals and residents. We sat outside mostly and there is plenty of space at the side and rear of the hotel. Biggest gripe is the small car park. The staff are great and we would stay here again.

“Great value for money!”

Location is good and right on the main high street. Atmosphere is fab, welcoming and friendly staff who go above and beyond for anything you need. Location is good and right on the main high street. Atmosphere is fab, welcoming and friendly staff who go above and beyond for anything you need. We stayed for one night, and paid for a slightly nicer room, with breakfast. Food is great as this is cooked fresh to order. It is priced well for food and drinks..my only gripe is that of all the windows in the room only one opend, so it was like sitting in an oven, and while there was a fan in the room this really was pretty useless in what was more likely to be 35 degree heat in the room itself. Other than that I cannot fault this hotel and would definitely return to stay for a longer period of time.

I stayed here with an old friend and had a lovely time. There were a few issues which the staff worked hard at sorting out for us. Its a beautiful old house with lots of character, two outdoor seating areas which were lovely. The food was excellent though the wine is quite pricy. We were looked after so well particularly by Carole and Ross who were friendly and helpful. The hotel is really well placed for seeing the town and there is lots to see and do. Would definitely recommend.
