Stay here for work and I love a few things about the property: 1. Staff are awesome 2. Amenities are as good as anywhere 3. The gym is fantastic Both of my recent bookings involved two different approaches but I think there is some glitch in the booking system. The first time I spoke with staff person on site and was booked for a room the same day instead of later the month. I was awoken at 1245 am that morning with a notice that I'd been charged for no show. I called next morning and spoke to a lovely staff member who had already noticed the error and corrected it for me and my coworker. The next time I used the online booking service. I know I selected the correct dates and when I was inputting my info, it reset to book for the date I was booking. I did not get a notice of "no show" this time or any indication that the reservation was wrongly booked at any time. I did think it was strange I was billed for the room but I presumed that where I booked online the same day, it was just billed up front. When I arrived to check in, I learned that i was marked "no show" for the day I made my reservation. The property was quick to refund me. They were so excellent to deal with that way. However, on both occasions, I did not get the room choice I booked and I was really looking forward to stretching out in a King bed after a long day of travel and meetings. Only a mild disappointment/inconvenience, I was lucky to get a room with no booking on file. And I was lucky that my second error booking was cancelled as I had little proof that I didn't deliberately book for same day online. I really appreciated that support from the team to acknowledge that it would have been unlikely for me to book at end of workday for a reservation that far away from my home (I was able to show my calendar with the meetings in the area for the dates I visited, helped them understand my predicament.) That all said, sometimes hiccups happen(and I blame these on tech) and I will still stay there I'll just be more careful in the future to ensure my booking confirmation matches the date I intended. The hotel staff are cleaning all the time and it is exceptionally well managed. It goes to show that even when mistakes take place, a five star review is still deserved. It's not what happens its how you deal with it.

Clean, comfy, free breakfast, pool, centrally located. What more could you want? Did I mention they allow dogs? Our dog had a great stay too!

Before I begin my review, please be aware that if you use Waze as your GPS, it will take you to the wrong address and you will be sitting in the Comfort Inn Parking lot about a mile from the Tru by Hilton! I called the Tru by Hilton and a wonderful young lady named Stephanie answered. I explained our dilemma and she quickly guided us to the correct address telling us that because the hotel address is rather new, other guests have been experiencing the same issue. (When you get off the 103W, turn left and the hotel is down a ways on your left just passed the Honda Dealership). That said, my husband and I have been travelling for about a week - a road trip from Ontario to the East Coast and have met many friendly people. The warm and sincere welcome we received for Stephanie has been the MOST memorable. She informed us about the breakfast area/hours, where the elevators were located and where we could find a nice place to have dinner. Stephanie assigned us Room 329 and it was perfect for our stay! Clean hardwood floors, ironing board, iron, large flatscreen tv, fridge, microwave, 2 nicely made queen beds, lots of storage for your personables. The bathroom was large and bright with lighting around the mirror, great sized vanity counter, nightlight, plenty of white fluffy towels, hair dryer and great shower. I love the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body cream the Tru by Hilton offer! Lots of electrical plugs in the room! On our way to dinner, we were greeted by Stephanie who was offering us a goodie bag with treats and two bottles of water to celebrate a special occasion we were having. She is a real asset to this hotel. The breakfast included was excellent - pancakes, eggs, crisp bacon, toast, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The seating area directly near the breakfast buffet is limited but there are other places in the foyer to enjoy your breakfast. Next time we are in Yarmouth, this will definitely be our "go to place". Can't recommend it enough! Thank you Stephanie!

“Decent room. Clean. Basics are provided. Nothing special. No coffee in room.”

Staying in the Tru in Yarmouth NS. Room is small but seems to have everything I need. It’s really noisy in the hallway. The doors seem to slam shut when people leave their rooms. Bed is very comfortable. Not a luxury place but you get what you pay for.
