Not usually one to leave reviews but I’ve read a lot of negative comments on this hotel and just wanted to comment on our experience here. First of all I’ll say this hotel is not 4 star, I’d say more a 3 at a push. It is tired in areas. If you’re booking this holiday to purely stay around hotel and pool, and eat there everyday/night then I’d say this hotel isn’t ideal for that. The food everyday was very similar from what we saw. Meat, fish, salad etc. But from what we tried nice all the same. The drinks at the bar were ok, cocktails which were very weak, they had beer and wine on tap that you pour yourself. I tried the Rose one day and it wasn’t the best so stuck to beer and cocktails. Snacks seemed to be left over melon from breakfast/lunch, sandwiches and biscuits everyday. The rooms were basic which we were happy with because it was just a base for us, we stayed in room 213, the air con didn’t go any cooler than 16 degrees but we managed. The maids came everyday to provide fresh towels and mop the floors, even on Sunday which we were advised wouldn’t happen. This is all they did though. They don’t do a deep clean and I think they changed the sheets once. The bathroom wasn’t the best. I don’t think the shower had had a full clean for a long time,there was grime around the outside and inside of it. If you’re just hopping in to wash off you can get past it, but if you’re a family with toddlers I wouldn’t want to bathe my child in it and have them crawling around the floor. Apart from that we found the room ok it suited us for the time we spent in it. It had a fridge, kettle, and a decent sized balcony. The pool is small for the amount of guests and there can be a struggle to get beds. We only spent two days of the week we were there at the pool, and got lucky on both days finding beds. I noticed people leaving towels and then disappearing for hours which the hotel didn’t seem to do anything about. The staff were very friendly especially the guys behind the bar at the pool. I’ve read comments about the manager not being very pleasant but we didn’t have any encounters with him so can’t comment. We didn’t book this hotel for the all inclusive benefits and had no intentions of spending everyday around the hotel and pool. We wanted something central to everything and for that it’s perfect. The fact it was all inclusive for the price we got was a bonus for us, as self catering wasn’t an option. I’d just do your homework before booking. I’ve done all inclusive holidays with my kids in the past when they were younger because it’s just easier, but I would have struggled here I feel. We came as a couple who wanted to get out and see what the area had to offer, which we did and had a lovely time. The hotel didn’t dampen anything for us, but I can understand some of the negative reviews especially if you’re travelling as a family on a typical all inclusive holiday with children.
