I stayed here for three nights in the occasion of a professional congress. The hotel is really close to the Central Station and metro stations, therefore in a very comfortable position. The Micro Hotel is in the underground floor of a building where also another hotel is located. It is basically a midway between an actual hotel and a hostel. The rooms are quite small and with bulk beds and they have no windows, yet they are very clean and functional if you just want to sleep there and spend the day out. Same goes for the shared toilets which are cleaned pretty regularly, and the common area. Breakfast is not included in the day fare but there's the option to have either a 'breakfast bag' (86 SEK per day) or to access the Tegnerlunden Hotel buffet on the 6th floor for 145 SEK per day (I opted for this one and it is pretty good and Swedish typical). Bottom line: the Micro Hotel is the right choice if you are a day traveller which aims to use the facility as a sleeping & showering place.

First the good points. Its well located in a nice area of the city. Staff were nice and it is clean and modern. I knew my room would be small and windowless. I only needed to sleep for the night to get up early the next day for a flight. But...this is really a hostel. There are shared facilities and most of the occupants seemed to be partying young Americans on my one night stay. I got 2 hours of sleep maximum, as the many doors were slamming shut through the night and I had to twice get up and have words with a very drunk young woman chatting on speaker phone on the floor of the corridor. I would not stay here again but then I am not a young student looking for somewhere to crash after a bender. Don't stay if you are a light sleeper. Fine otherwise.

“OK hotel”

Don't go with high expectations. Decent rooms if all you want to do is sleep. I would really avoid going in large groups - quadruple rooms filled with 4 people will be very hard to move in. Don't go with high expectations. Decent rooms if all you want to do is sleep. I would really avoid going in large groups - quadruple rooms filled with 4 people will be very hard to move in. Showers are kind of an annoyance, it might be a bit uncomfortable for people who never experienced public showers before. One shower was flooding and there was water everywhere in the men's bathroom during some times. They weren't the cleanest but not the worst. Beware of some noises and smells. Not very far away from the metro station but keep in mind that to get to the hotel there is a long flight of stairs (might be a problem if travelling with heavy luggage as we did). The maid cleaned our room fully once during our stay and gave us clean towels every day. however, my friends had to request towels every day as they didn't get them even when they put the cleaning sign on the door. The reception staff is actually very nice - but keep in mind the reception actually for the upstairs hotel and services both Hotel Micro (which is in the basement - i.e. no windows) and Hotel Tegnerlunden (the above hotel). I would recommend for budget travellers looking for a somewhat decent vacation in Stockholm, but personally, I think with some research and if booked in advance you can get better. Avoid completely if you are somewhat claustrophobic (rooms are very stuffy - no windows and no access to control the heat levels) or a germaphobe.

Stockholm is expensive. This was the best deal I found that was walking distance from the central places. That said, it's nothing luxurious but it gets the job done. Stockholm is expensive. This was the best deal I found that was walking distance from the central places. That said, it's nothing luxurious but it gets the job done. It would be best to remember to bring slippers though. I honestly thought the room would be bigger, but anyway the bed was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom and toilet is shared and there is only one room for all that. When we were there, the hotel was busy but I never had to wait for a toilet or a shower (around 3 stalls). The only thing is that because it was always in use, the toilets and showers were starting to be a bit dirty. The nice thing though is that dryers and towels are included. Also, we had a coffee in the morning in the 2nd morning and it was apparently free? Oh and just one thing that bothered me is that rooms are not so sound proof. I could literally hear door slamming all night. Anyway - the last thing I would say is that the sign for the hotel is TINY. The big sign is for Hotel Tegnérlunden but it shares the reception with it. There is only a tiny sign by the door that says Hotel Micro. Overall if you want to stay near the center and not pay an arm and a leg, this place is good enough

“Economy hotel”

Micro Hotel has friendly staff and it is clean! The rooms are small and without window but it is a fair price for the area as it is close to the city center! The bathroom is shared but always clean! I recommend it for a weekend with friends!
